Module · PT sessions

A block of ten,
and a number nobody has to remember.

Sell sessions in blocks, let people ask for a slot, and watch the count come down as they are used. The balance is a ledger, so it is the same number you and your client are both looking at.

Switched on per account. Not on a checkout page.

Example credit ledger

The count

Not a number in your phone. A ledger with reasons in it.

Every credit added and every credit spent is a row with a date on it, and a completed session links to the exact ledger entry it consumed.

Which is what makes a cancellation honest. Give the credit back and the ledger says so; keep it and the ledger says that too. Either way nobody is reconstructing what happened from memory three weeks later.

How you get it

It is already on when you get the dashboard

This one is not on a checkout page, and you do not have to ask for it. Module flags are set while your dashboard is being built — if the site needs it, it is switched on before you ever log in. Nothing extra on your plan, and nothing to request.

If you sell blocks of sessions, PT is switched on during setup alongside user accounts and the offerings catalogue — a credit belongs to a person and a block has to be sellable.

Example — three blocks, one credit type

Selling blocks

Three sizes, one kind of credit.

Blocks are entries in the offerings catalogue, so the same session type can be sold at three sizes without three different products behind it.

Credits can also be added by hand, for the client who paid you by transfer or the one you are giving a session to. That lands on the same ledger and reads the same way afterwards.

Example — the same numbers, from their side

Their side of it

The same number, and they can see it too.

Your client signs in on your own domain and sees the same balance you do, their upcoming sessions, and anything they have asked for that you have not answered yet.

Which removes the most common message you get. Nobody has to ask how many they have left, because the number is in front of them and it is the number on your ledger rather than a copy of it.

Before you start

What this does not do, said now rather than later.

It is not a calendar

A client asks for a slot and you confirm or decline. There is no availability grid, no recurring bookings and nothing preventing two people asking for the same hour.

It does not take the payment

Helm records that a block was sold and counts it down. The card payment for the block goes through Stripe on your own account, or you are paid another way and add the credits.

No automatic expiry

Credits do not lapse on their own. If a block should expire after three months, that is a conversation you have, not a rule the software enforces.

Getting started

Sell ten, and stop counting them in your head.

Switched on per account rather than bought. Plans start at $20 a month.
