Numbers you will actually look at,
which is a smaller set than you think.
Who came, where from, and what they read. Built into the dashboard you already open, with no second login, no tag manager, and nothing shipped to an advertising network.
Example week
What it answers
Three questions, and it stops there on purpose.
Rolled up daily, so the chart still means something after a year instead of getting slower every month.
Example, last 30 days
Who came, and how many
Visitors, views and sessions over time, with average visit length. Visitors are counted per person per day, not per browser tab — which is what the old number quietly meant.
Where they came from
Search, social, a link somebody posted, or straight to the address. UTM tags are kept whole, so a campaign you tagged is a campaign you can find.
What they actually read
Which pages hold attention and which get opened and closed. Usually not the ones you expect, which is the entire reason to measure rather than assume.
Example live view
Right now
The one screen people actually enjoy opening.
A live view of what is happening right now, which is the one analytics screen anybody opens for pleasure rather than duty.
Useful the evening you post something — you can watch whether it did anything instead of checking tomorrow and inferring.
Example, last 30 days
Where they are
City-level, and honest about being approximate.
Country, region and city, resolved from the connecting address at the moment of the visit. City-level and approximate — it is a lookup table, not a phone giving up its GPS.
Enough to tell a Beirut business that a fifth of its readers are in the Gulf, which is the kind of thing that changes what you write next.
Privacy
Your visitors are not the product, and this is where that is decided.
Analytics runs on Helm's own servers. There is no cookie, and no visitor IP address is stored anywhere.
How a visitor is counted
The salt rotates every day
So the same person tomorrow is a different id. A hash cannot be used to follow anybody across days, because after midnight there is nothing to follow.
Your project id is mixed in
The same person on two different Helm client sites produces two unrelated ids. Nothing here can be joined across tenants, by us or by anyone.
No cookie, and no IP column
The address is read to resolve a city and to feed the hash, then it is gone — the table it would be stored in does not have a column for it.
How you get it
On your plan, or add it
Included on the plans below, and purchasable on its own if your plan does not carry it.
Included on Standard and Business at no extra cost. On Lite it is $20 a month, or $200 a year. The widgets on the page — the globe, the live ticker, the page leaderboard — are yours to arrange or switch off.
Before you start
What this does not do, said now rather than later.
No funnels, cohorts or session replay
This answers who came, from where, and what they read. It is not a product-analytics suite and it will not stand in for one.
No cross-site profiles, by construction
There is no identity that survives a day or crosses a tenant, so there is nothing to build a profile out of. That is a design decision, not a missing feature.
Not a replacement for Search Console
It sees traffic that arrives. It cannot tell you what people searched to find you — only Google knows that, and the SEO module is what connects to it.
Getting started
It is one switch, and the data starts the same afternoon.
Included on Standard and Business. $20 a month on Lite, or $200 a year.
